About this journal

Bioinformation (Online ISSN 0973-2063; Print ISSN 0973-8894) is a scientific journal publishing research articles in biological knowledge discovery after full peer review. It is a transparent media for scholarly communication of scientific information in biology. All articles are published, without barriers to access, immediately upon acceptance.

 

Aim and Scope

Bioinformation publishes original research articles in all aspects of biological knowledge discovery through mathematical and computational analysis of biological data. The journal specifically invites articles describing new biological insights based on primary or derived data.

 

Biology aspect of Bioinformation

Agriculture, Biochemistry, Cancer Biology, Cell Biology, Clinical Medicine, Immunology, Infectious diseases, Inflammation. Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Molecular Evolution, Structural Biology, Tissue Engineering, Transplantation

 

Information aspect of Bioinformation

Data cleaning, data storage, data representation, data retrieval, data analysis and knowledge extraction

 

Enabling Technologies

By definition, articles describing databases, datasets, prediction servers, prediction models and computer programs are classified under enabling technologies.

 

Criteria

Publication of research articles by Bioinformation is dependent primarily on their novelty, relevance and coherence, as judged by peer reviewers.

 

Speed

Bioinformation offers a very fast publication schedule whilst maintaining rigorous peer review.

 

General category (processing charge of US$100)

We maintain a fast review process of 3-4 weeks and the article will be published immediately online upon acceptance. This charge will be waived for needy authors after receiving acceptable justification.

 

Express category (additional processing charge of US$ 100)

Editorial and peer review will be completed and a decision made within 1 week (additional processing charge US $100)

 

Formatting service (additional  charge of US$ 100)

A formatting service is provided on a payment basis of US$ 100 per manuscript when required. Formatting will be done per authors guidelines to BIOINFORMATION.

 

Production of high resolution illustrations (additional  charge of US$ 100)

We charge US$100 for production of a high resolution illustration per manuscript when required.

 

Volumes, issues, page numbers

All papers published in Bioinformation will be assigned a volume number, an issue number and page numbers. One (1) volume will contain 10 issues and one (1) issue will contain 10 papers.

 

Submission of manuscripts

Manuscripts must be submitted to the managing editors through email. Full details of how to submit a manuscript are given in the instructions for authors.
