Abstract |
Traumatic dental injures shows a serious impact on oral health and its incidences are increasing significantly over time. Permanent anterior teeth commonly affected. Study focused on prevalence of dental trauma among 12-15 years old school going children of Ghaziabad and assess risk factors related to traumatic injuries. A cross sectional study carried out by using a structured questionnaire and clinical examination to collect data from 323 subjects with a history of dental injury. Results revealed that prevalence of traumatic injuries found higher and on the whole, it was more in girls when compared to boys. Most common etiology of trauma being inability to recollects the incident. There is a need to enhance the understanding and awareness of the prevention of traumatic injuries. |
