Abstract |
Adolescence is a developmental phase marked by significant stress, which can negatively impact mental and physical well-being. Therefore, it is of interest to evaluate the effectiveness of breathing exercises as a stress management strategy for adolescents. The research involved 40 adolescents (aged 14-15 years) from schools in Tiruchirappalli, using the Modified Stress Scale for pretest and posttest data. Results showed a significant reduction in stress levels, with a paired t-test value of 8.1294 and a p-value of 0.0001. Thus, breathing exercises are an effective and accessible strategy for reducing stress in adolescents, addressing a gap in adolescent stress management methods. |
