Abstract

The comparative effectiveness of single-incision laparoscopic surgery versus conventional laparoscopy remains uncertain due to concerns regarding technical complexity and outcomes. Therefore, it is of interest to compare pre-operative and post-operative outcomes between conventional laparoscopic surgery and single-incision laparoscopic surgery in 200 patients. Patients were equally divided into two groups, with evaluation of operative time, complications, post-operative pain, hospital stay, cosmetic satisfaction and overall outcomes. Single-incision laparoscopic surgery demonstrated comparable clinical outcomes with improved cosmetic satisfaction, through it involved greater technical demands. Thus, we support single-incision laparoscopic surgery as a safe and effective alternative that enhances cosmetic outcomes without compromising clinical performance.
