Abstract

Achieving uncomplicated tissue recovery remains a major challenge after periodontal surgery. Therefore, it is of interest to evaluate the 10 gingivectomy patients presenting with gingival enlargement. Post-operatively, participants used either a combined 0.2% CHX+HA rinse or CHX alone. The CHX+HA cohort exhibited significantly superior early-stage wound healing outcomes. Thus, data shows combining chlorhexidine with hyaluronic acid enhances early periodontal tissue healing.
