Abstract

Work-related musculoskeletal disorders are highly prevalent among dental professionals due to prolonged static posture and poor ergonomics. Magnification loupes have emerged as an effective ergonomic aid by improving visualization and promoting a neutral working posture. Therefore, it is of interest to report on the role of magnification loupes in enhancing dental ergonomics, clinical precision and operator comfort. Available data shows that regular use of magnification loupes is associated with reduced musculoskeletal strain, improved posture and better clinical performance. Thus, early adoption and ergonomic training are essential to maximize the long-term benefits of magnification loupes in contemporary dental practice introduction.
