Abstract
Severe anterior open bite is a complex malocclusion characterized by the absence of vertical overlap between opposing anterior teeth, often impairing both function and aesthetics. Therefore, it is of interest to report the non-surgical orthodontic management of a 30-year-old female patient with a pronounced anterior open bite and a persistent tongue-thrusting habit. Following a comprehensive diagnostic assessment, the Multiloop Edgewise Archwire (MEAW) technique was employed along with habit correction and individualized biomechanical strategies to achieve bite closure and functional improvement. Thus, data shows the importance of targeted therapy in managing open bite and demonstrates satisfactory post-treatment stability.
