Abstract

Female sexual health is often overlooked, especially in patients of end stage renal disease on maintenance hemodialysis. Therefore, it is of interest to determine the prevalence and severity of female sexual dysfunction in such patients. Sexual function of females of reproductive age group on maintenance hemodialysis was evaluated using the validated female sexual function index (FSFI). Thus, data shows the female sexual dysfunction is extremely common among women with ESRD on maintenance hemodialysis, with desire and satisfaction domains faring slightly better than other domains.
