Abstract |
Bone-level implants were strategically positioned in the lower premolar and molar regions to create a master model using clear epoxy resin and the control group consisted of non-hex abutments alongside UCLA castable hex abutments for casting setup. Therefore, it is of interest to compare the positional accuracy of implants abutments using three different impression methods: closed tray, closed tray with snap cap and closed tray with clip-on. Subsequently, ten impressions per technique (totaling 30 samples) were made using addition silicone and dental stone casts were then produced and their accuracy was evaluated using a three-dimensional model scanner. The data obtained from this analysis underwent statistical processing through Geomagic software, along with analyses conducted in Microsoft Excel and SPSS version 22. Thus, data shows the critical importance of positional accuracy, revealing significant difference among the three techniques, with the closed tray with clip-on techniques achieving superior accuracy, especially for hex groups emphasizing the significance of precise impressions for successful implant prostheses. |
