Abstract |
Bone loss following tooth extraction poses a significant challenge for successful implant prosthodontics, necessitating effective regenerative strategies. Bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) play a vital role in osteogenesis and have emerged as promising agents for enhancing post-extraction bone healing. Therefore, it is of interest to evaluate the clinical and experimental studies assessing BMP application in post-extraction sites, focusing on bone volume, density and implant success rates. Results showed that BMPs significantly improve bone quality and quantity, promoting faster healing and better implant stability and integration. Thus, data shows BMPs as a reliable biomolecular approach to optimize bone regeneration and improve long-term outcomes in implant prosthodontics. |
