Abstract

Rehabilitation of the maxillary esthetic zone requires predictable hard and soft tissue reconstruction. Therefore, it is of interest to compare the combined Khoury Bone Shell Technique protocol with a conventional protocol in 76 patients. Clinical, radiographic, esthetic and prosthetic outcomes were assessed after 12 months. The combined protocol significantly improved implant stability, esthetics, bone preservation and reduced surgical time. Thus, data shows the combined approach offers a predictable strategy for successful esthetic zone implant rehabilitation.
