Abstract

Pulpal and periapical diseases are major causes of odontogenic pain and frequently necessitate endodontic intervention. Therefore, it is of interest to evaluate the Knowledge, Attitude and Practices (KAP) regarding tooth pain management and endodontic treatment in semi-urban Indian communities. A community-based cross-sectional study was conducted among 866 adults aged ≥18 years with a history of tooth pain in the past. KAP scores were categorized and statistical analysis was performed. Thus, data shows a significant gap between awareness and current practices for endodontic among semi-urban populations.
