Abstract |
Post-surgical wound healing after gingivectomy and gingivoplasty is essential for reducing pain and promoting rapid tissue repair. Therefore, it is of interest to compare the PRF, ozonated olive oil, BlueM gel and Coe-pak in 40 surgical sites with chronic inflammatory gingival enlargement. Clinical parameters, post-operative pain, Landry Healing Index and epithelialization were assessed from baseline through 30 days. PRF and ozonated olive oil accelerated healing, reduced pain and enhanced re epithelialization compared with Coe-pak alone. BlueM gel provided superior early epithelial coverage, while PRF and ozonated olive oil emerged as promising adjuncts for post-operative periodontal wound management. |
