Abstract

Digital health technologies such as mobile applications assist in educating the public health. Therefore, it is of interest to assess the effectiveness of mobile app-based awareness, knowledge, attitudes and preventive practices regarding periodontitis and endodontic pain among adults in India. Hence, 2000 subjects randomly assigned to three groups: mobile app intervention, social media campaign and control. The outcome assessment was done using Knowledge Attitude Practice (KAP) questionnaire. Thus, structured digital platforms can be effective in promoting periodontal awareness and preventive behaviours.
